Armidale - the best place to live.

Armidale is truly a city of four seasons (and this can happen all in the one day).  The winters are cool with the occasional warm day giving everyone the wrong impression that spring is coming.  Spring is that time of year when everything blooms and it looks absolutely glorious.  Armidale is blessed with a mild summer, making it a great attraction for people not wanting a hot summer.  Autumn is an array of colours and can be both cold and mild, depending on the day.

Armidale is a great city to live, especially catering for families wishing to have ideal place to bring up children.  Armidale has arguably the best access to education anywhere in Australia.  Not just the fantastic education offered by the private and public schools, the University and TAFE but education in a wider sense, including physical education and the arts.  Armidale education is especially strong for music.  This is highlighted by the annual eisteddfod that run for almost one month.

Armidale also has a wide range of sporting and fitness options for the young and young at heart. Obviously there are many team sports and fitness centres but there is also the proximity of the National Parks.  Runners are well catered for.  In the winter months there are two cross country series run by the Athletics Club - The Wednesday runs and the Mindbiz Saturday Spring Cross Country.  If you like a bit more adventure join the orienteering club and do some cunning running.
